Joy Potion, an energy boost
At Akal Food, we wanted to explore and showcase the potential of this food. We developed Joy Potion, a blend of cocoa, organic spices and Spirulina powder. The cocoa we use, which makes up 50% of the product, is a Peruvian Criollo cacao. The Criollo variety is native to the Amazon basin, originating from the original cacao tree which has not undergone hybridisation. As the rarest variety, it produces a grand cru cacao with very fine aromas of citrus and banana.
I discovered Joy Potion a while ago when I joined the Akal Food team. As a big hot drink drinker, this blend immediately won me over with its little spicy taste! When I tried it, I gradually felt a surge of energy both soft and invigorating to fill me.
Joy Potion acted by circulating in my heart then throughout my body, but also in my head. I felt lighter, more relaxed, more aware of everything around me… and ready for the rest of my day!
Its preparation is very simple: heat a cup of your favourite milk, add to it One to three spoonfuls of Joy Potion, Mix well before drinking and wait for the effect to kick in! 😄
