Organic spirulina powder, fair trade Burkina Faso: sun-dried below 42°C.
Two reasons to choose this powder — one practical, one human
The first is practical. Powder is the most versatile form of spirulina – it slips into everything: a morning smoothie, a green juice, oat milk, a warm soup, a vinaigrette.
No texture to tame, no chewing required, no complex measurements. Pour, mix, drink. That's it.
The second is human. Each sachet purchased finances a social enterprise in Burkina Faso that fights childhood malnutrition, where spirulina can literally make a difference.
The WHO officially recognises it: in cases of severe malnutrition, spirulina is one of the few foods capable of quickly providing the proteins, iron and vitamins necessary for recovery.
Two good reasons that make one – doing yourself good while doing good for others.
What she does — and what she doesn't do
What she's doing
– Bring all the nutrients of artisanal spirulina into any drink or recipe
– Support energy, immunity, recovery and beauty with regular treatment
– Contribute directly to a solidarity scheme that feeds children in Burkina Faso
What she doesn't do
– Act within a few days — a 3 to 4 week course is necessary for lasting effects
– Mix with a very hot liquid — never exceed 40°C, heat degrades the active ingredients
– To substitute for medical follow-up in the case of a diagnosed deficiency
A unique drying process – under the African sun, below 42°C
This is the particularity of this powder – and it’s worth telling.
Unlike industrial spirulinas spray-dried at over 100°C, solidarity spirulina benefits from natural African sun-drying, controlled so it never exceeds 42°C.
This threshold is not a coincidence.
Beyond this point, phycocyanin begins to degrade, living enzymes lose their activity, certain B vitamins deteriorate, and proteins generate the sulfur compounds responsible for the strong smell that many wrongly associate with spirulina in general.
«No unpleasant smell like some other spirulinas» — That’s exactly it.
The result of gentle sun-drying: a mild-tasting powder with a fine texture and an intense dark green colour — a sign that the phycocyanin content has been preserved at over 20%. A living spirulina, not burnt.
The solidarity mission — Burkina Faso since 2008
The partner farms cultivate spirulina with a dual ambition: to produce a quality artisanal food for our customers, and to donate a portion of their production to the most vulnerable local populations — malnourished children, pregnant women, and frail individuals.
This partnership has existed since 2008 — not a one-off transaction, but a 17-year relationship.
Every sachet of Poudre Solidaire is the concrete continuation of this commitment.
The 5 benefits — and for whom
Energy and combating underlying fatigue
Spirulina's bioavailable iron, free from the absorption inhibitors found in grains and legumes, supports red blood cell formation and helps reduce chronic fatigue. To enhance its effects: mix it into orange or lemon juice, or combine it with Potion TONIC, whose acerola performs this exact function.
Ideal profile: Individuals prone to chronic fatigue, women during their periods, people recovering from illness, vegetarians and vegans lacking natural iron sources.
2. Deeper enhanced immunity
Phycocyanin and beta-carotene – 15 times more concentrated than in carrots – support natural defences. A 3 to 4 week course before autumn, at one teaspoon per day in your morning smoothie, helps the body get through winter with greater resilience.
Ideal profile: people often weakened during seasonal changes, families with young children, individuals recovering after an illness.
3. Sport and muscle recovery
Iron improves oxygen transport to the muscles. Complete proteins — 60 to 70g — speed up muscle recovery after exercise. Antioxidants help reduce post-workout muscle soreness. The powder mixes perfectly in a shaker or a pre- or post-workout smoothie.
Ideal profile: Regular sportspeople, runners, endurance athletes, people returning to physical activity.
4. Detox and cellular protection
Chlorophyll contributes to the natural purification of the blood. SOD – Superoxide Dismutase, found in spirulina – is one of the most potent enzymes against cellular ageing. Particularly relevant in spring, in combination with Lacto-fermented Birch Sap or the DETOX Potion.
Ideal profile: Individuals exposed to pollution or tobacco, profiles seeking natural baseline detoxification support, individuals undergoing dietary transitions.
5. Beauty - radiant complexion, hair and nails
Zinc, B vitamins and antioxidants support keratin synthesis and skin health. As a regular course of 4 to 6 weeks, our customers report visible effects on hair strength, nail resilience and skin radiance.
Ideal profile: People with dull complexions or weakened hair, post-pregnancy profiles, individuals whose skin reflects a nutritional imbalance.
How to use Solidarity Powder?
The basic dosage: 1 teaspoon (3g) in your morning drink. The powder disperses instantly in liquids - no mixer needed if the drink is liquid.
The absolute rule: never heat above 40°C. If you add it to hot soup or sauce, wait for the temperature to drop before incorporating. To avoid simultaneously: tea and coffee, which inhibit iron absorption.
Everyday uses
Morning green smoothie — banana, spinach, kiwi, almond milk, 1 tsp. The kiwi provides vitamin C which boosts iron
Freshly squeezed orange juice — 1 teaspoon, mix vigorously, drink immediately
Oat milk at snack time — without altering the taste, the powder goes completely unnoticed
Homemade vinaigrette — lemon, olive oil, half a teaspoon. A deep, natural green colour
Lukewarm soup—added to the bowl, below 40°C, off heat Protein shaker—mixes perfectly with plant-based protein powders
Dosages according to your objective
| Objective | Quantity / day | Weight 100g |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner (1st week) | 3g (1 tsp) | ~33 days |
| Standard interview | 3 to 5g | 20 to 33 days |
| Vegetarian / sporty / tired | 5 to 10g | 10 to 20 days |
Treatment protocol — what happens week by week
Week 1
Start with 3g per day – one teaspoon with your usual smoothie. The body gets to know the spirulina. Some people feel a slight energy boost within the first few days. Others notice nothing yet. Both are normal.
Weeks 2 and 3
The dose can be increased to 5g. Underlying fatigue is starting to ease. For athletes, recovery between sessions is gradually improving.
Week 4
The effects on energy and immunity are established. For those who complete a full and regular course, the first effects on skin tone and hair become noticeable.
One month is the minimum to deeply anchor the effects. The 100g sachet at 3g/day covers exactly this cycle — with room to start gently.
Precautions for use
– Contraindicated in case of haemochromatosis
– Ongoing medical treatment: ask your doctor for advice before starting
– Pregnant women: rich in iron and folic acid — ask your doctor for an appropriate dosage
– Never heat above 40°C
– Avoid consuming at the same time as tea or coffee
Keep away from light and moisture, in a hermetically sealed bag

Why doesn't this powder have a strong smell?
Because it is sun-dried below 42°C. Above this temperature, spirulina generates sulphur compounds responsible for the strong, characteristic smell of industrial spirulina. Artisan solar drying on farms in Burkina Faso prevents this degradation — the powder has a mild taste, a light marine odour, and an intense dark green colour.
What is the difference between Solidarity Powder and Akal Spiru Flower Powder?
The material and the process are similar – drying below 42°C, grinding on a millstone.
The difference lies in the origin: Fleur de Spiru Powder comes exclusively from the Akal farm, cultivated using sensitive biodynamic and permaculture methods in Normandy.
The Solidarity Powder comes from partner farms in Burkina Faso, through fair trade, with a direct solidarity dimension on each purchase. Solidarity Powder is also the most accessible format in terms of price in the range.
Can it be used in hot recipes?
Yes – provided you wait for the preparation to cool below 40°C before adding the powder.
Add it to the bowl, not the pan. Above 40°C, the live active ingredients begin to degrade.
Does the powder colour the preparations?
Yes — a deep green in clear liquids. In a green smoothie or a vinaigrette, the effect is more subtle.
In orange juice or oat milk, the colour becomes visible. Some customers use it precisely to colour their recipes naturally.
Can it be given to pregnant women?
Spirulina is naturally rich in iron, folic acid (B9) and gamma-linolenic acid – nutrients that are beneficial during pregnancy. Ask your doctor for a dosage suitable for your situation before starting a course.
How does fair trade translate into practical terms?
Producers in Burkina Faso are paid a fair and stable price, independent of international market fluctuations. The partnership has been in place since 2008 – 17 years of continuous relationship, not a one-off transaction. And a portion of the spirulina production is directly distributed to children and pregnant women in local communities – where severe malnutrition is still a daily reality.
