Artisanal French spirulina powder: dried below 42°C, stone-ground.

What is the Frenchie range?

Since 2009, Sat Pavan has been cultivating spirulina on the Bouquetot eco-estate. But he has also done something else, less visible and just as important: he has trained other producers.

A dozen or so French farms have benefited from his expertise – the drying method below 42°C, stonemill grinding, the requirements of a spirulina that deserves to be called artisanal.
These partner farms today share the same values and processes. They are Ecocert certified. They produce quality French spirulina.

La Spiruline Française Poudre — la Frenchie — is the fruit of this transmission of knowledge.

This isn't the spirulina from our Norman farm, cultivated biodynamically and with organic permaculture by the Akal team. This is Fleur de Spiru – the farm's original product.
La Frenchie is Kal's vision of spirulina — French, artisanal, dried below 42°C, stone-ground — produced by the farms Kal has trained, available at all times, accessible.

What she does — and what she doesn't do

What she's doing

– Bring all the nutrients of artisanal spirulina into any drink or recipe, without altering the taste

– Support energy, immunity and recovery over the duration of a regular course

– Effortlessly integrate into an existing drink or culinary routine

What she doesn't do

To perfectly replicate the biodynamic terroir of Bouquetot – that’s the Fleur de Spiru that embodies this uniqueness

– Act within a few days — a 3 to 4 week course is necessary for lasting effects

– Mix with a very hot liquid — never exceed 40°C, heat degrades the active ingredients

The 5 benefits — and for whom

Energy and combating underlying fatigue

The iron in spirulina, which is particularly well absorbed by the body, supports the formation of red blood cells and helps to reduce chronic fatigue. To amplify this effect: mix your dose in orange or lemon juice – vitamin C multiplies iron assimilation. Or combine it directly with the TONIC Potion, whose acerola does precisely this job.

Ideal profile: people prone to chronic fatigue, women during their periods, vegetarians and vegans looking for a natural and bioavailable iron source.

2. Complete plant-based proteins for athletes and vegetarians

With 60–70% complete plant protein — containing all the essential amino acids — spirulina is one of the most concentrated sources available. In a pre-workout shake or a post-workout smoothie, one to two tablespoons support muscle recovery and endurance during exercise.

Ideal profile: Athletes in training for a race or competition, vegetarians and vegans seeking complete proteins, people wishing to reduce their animal protein intake without deficiency.

3. Enhanced deep immunity

Phycocyanin – preserved by drying below 42°C – and beta-carotene support the body's natural defences. A 3 to 4-week course before autumn helps the body get through winter with greater resilience. As a daily maintenance, the powder in your morning smoothie supports your defences all year round.

Ideal profile: People often weakened during seasonal changes, families looking for simple, natural immune support, individuals recovering from illness.

4. Sport recovery and reduction of post-exertion fatigue

Iron improves oxygen supply to the muscles during and after exertion. Phycocyanin helps to reduce residual muscle tension. What this means practically for an athlete: less muscle soreness, a quicker return to training, more stable endurance over the course of the season.

Ideal profile: runners in training, cyclists, swimmers, endurance sports participants, people returning to physical activity.

5. Radiant complexion, hair and nails

Zinc, B vitamins and antioxidant active ingredients support keratin synthesis and skin health. With a regular course of 4 to 6 weeks, our clients report visible effects on hair strength, nail solidity and skin radiance.

Ideal profile: People with dull complexions or weakened hair, post-pregnancy profiles, individuals whose skin reflects a nutritional imbalance.

How to use French Spirulina Powder?

The base dosage: 1 teaspoon (3g) in your morning drink. The ultra-fine powder disperses instantly in liquids - no need for a blender if the drink is liquid.

A practical tip on loose powder.
The fineness of grinding on a millstone creates a light powder that can fly away if you dose too quickly over a dry surface. Dose directly over the glass or bowl, with a slow and precise movement. In preparation, it disappears perfectly.

The golden rule: never heat above 40°C. Heat destroys precisely what drying below 42°C has taken care to preserve. If you're adding it to a hot soup or sauce, wait for the temperature to drop before incorporating.

Avoid simultaneously: tea, coffee and dairy products — these drinks inhibit iron absorption.

Everyday uses

Banana-kiwi-spinach smoothie — the powder is completely imperceptible to the taste

Freshly squeezed orange juice — synergistic Vitamin C + optimal iron

Plain yogurt + honey — smooth texture, subtle umami taste

Cold apple compote — practical, effective, no preparation

Vinaigrette or cold sauce — naturally deep green in colour Warm soup — added to the bowl once below 40°C

Protein shaker - mixes perfectly with protein powders

Treatment protocol — what happens week by week

Week 1

Start with 3g per day – one teaspoon in your usual drink. The body gets used to spirulina. Some people experience a slight boost in energy within the first few days. Others notice nothing yet. Both are normal.

Weeks 2 and 3

The dose can increase to 5g. Underlying fatigue is beginning to lessen. For athletes, recovery between sessions gradually improves. Transit may become slightly more fluid.

Week 4

The effects on energy and immunity have set in. For those who undertake a regular complete course, the first effects on complexion and hair become noticeable.

One month is the minimum to anchor the effects deeply. The 100g tin at 3g/day covers exactly this cycle – with some leeway to start gently.

Precautions for use

– Contraindicated in case of haemochromatosis

– Ongoing medical treatment: ask your doctor for advice before starting

– Never heat above 40°C – Avoid consuming simultaneously with tea, coffee, or milk

Keep away from light and moisture, in a hermetically sealed bag

Which format should I choose?

The recommended synergies

🌿 Frenchie Powder + TONIC Potion — the synergy of energy and assimilation

The acerola, naturally rich in vitamin C, in the TONIC Potion massively boosts the iron absorption from the powder. Mix your dose of powder directly into your glass of TONIC in the morning – energy and nutrition in one simple step. The most effective anti-fatigue and performance combination in the range.

💙 Frenchie Powder + Organic Phycocyanin — green gold meets blue gold

10ml of phycocyanin in your smoothie with your dose of powder. The two active ingredients reinforce each other in the antioxidant and immune system – the colour in the glass becomes spectacular.

🌱 Frenchie Powder + Spirulina Twigs — the versatile duo

Powder for drinks and liquid preparations. Sprigs for garnishing solid dishes. The same French artisanal quality, in two forms, to cover all moments of the day.

🛡 Frenchie Powder + Immunity Potion — the autumn-winter synergy

The powder in the morning smoothie for baseline nutritional intake. The IMMUNITY Potion in an evening juice for active immune support. A consistent 4-week protocol approaching winter.

Why call this product "the Frenchie"?

Because it is a French 100% spirulina, produced by a network of small-scale farms that Sat Pavan has been training in his method since 2009. La Frenchie embodies the Akal spirit extended across the whole of France — the same rigorous standards for drying and grinding, but with a different origin to Bouquetot.

What is the real difference between Frenchie and Spirulina Powder?

The material and the process are very similar — same drying below 42°C, same stone grinding, same organic certification. The difference lies in the origin: Fleur de Spiru comes exclusively from the Akal farm in Normandy, cultivated using biodynamic and sensitive permaculture methods. La Frenchie comes from partner farms trained by Akal, with the same expertise, available at all times and at the most accessible price.

Does the powder have a strong smell?

No, and that's precisely what drying below 42°C guarantees. Spirulina dried at over 100°C generates sulphurous compounds responsible for the strong characteristic odour. Below 42°C, these compounds do not form. Poudre Frenchie has a light marine smell and a mild umami taste – without the off-putting aftertaste.

Can the powder be added to a hot smoothie or herbal tea?

Not above 40°C, the living active ingredients preserved by drying below 42°C begin to degrade. Always add the powder to cold or lukewarm preparations, never to steaming liquid.

Is the powder suitable for pregnant women?

Spirulina is naturally rich in iron and folic acid, two essential nutrients during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice for a dosage suited to your situation before starting a course.

From when do we feel the effects?

The first signs generally appear at the end of the first week – a surge of energy, a slight improvement in recovery for athletes. For lasting effects on the immune system, complexion, and hair, a minimum course of 4 weeks is necessary.
